Keeping It Casual 1

***Sneak peek*** Mature content 18+

Swinging my hips to the music, I take another drink of my vodka tonic, close my eyes, and let the beat move me. I breathe and take in the scent of peppermint mixed with rain. It’s someone’s cologne. When a hand grasps my hip, I turn quickly to see gray eyes trained on mine. Putting my hand over his, we start dancing together. As if it’s automatic. The lines of his tall, strong body press against mine like no time has passed. Tingles travel from all points of contact and move right to my center. My heart rate speeds up and I can’t stop staring into his eyes. His expression is tight, intense, but his lips part. Reid’s face is still beautiful, but he’s changed. “Hello.” With Reid’s gaze so focused on me, the hair rises on my arms.

“I need a drink.” I turn to walk away and am surprised when I find he’s followed me and is now next to me at the bar.

“What are you drinking? Vodka?”

“Some things never change.” I shrug and shift my weight from one leg to the other. His nearness is throwing me off balance.

He nods.

“I didn’t know you were in New York. Last I heard, things were going great with your company.” He moved to California after college and started up a financial consulting firm. I heard through the grapevine that he was doing very well for himself, and last I knew he was in a relationship.

Reid downs a shot of something clear and hands me my drink. “I don’t want to talk tonight. I want to drink, dance, and then I want to fuck you…”
